Pentecost is the day of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and also the birthday of the church of Christ. Filled with the Holy Spirit, Apostle Peter preached a sermon two thousand years ago whose focus was on the crucified, risen, and ascended Christ. Approximately three thousand people were added to the church that day. Pentecost is therefore also a model for the power of a Spirit-inspired sermon and for the growth of the congregation through the activity of the Apostles.
On Pentecost Sunday, 31 May 2020, Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider, the spiritual leader of the New Apostolic Church, will conduct a divine service in Darmstadt in Germany, which will be transmitted around the world. He will conduct the service in English. The sermon will be interpreted into German at the altar and simultaneously into French, Spanish, Portuguese, and many other languages.
